Rodial Beauty Launch Event & New Collection

Although I was excited to receive my invitation from @Rodilbeauty to attend their latest PR event for the launch of their NEW @Rodilmakeup collection, I wasn't quite sure what to expect having not worked with their makeup products before…

I have to say, the severely rainy trek to the @soho hotel was totally worth it. on arrival, I was personally escorted to the Library Suite, where the Rodial team warmly welcomed me. (Their butler even hand delivered me a Rodial branded espresso upon request.)

Obviously I love makeup and beauty, but I have to say one of the things that most excited me about attending this event was connecting with other like minded industries pro’s from fellow MakeUp Artists to Editors, Bloggers and Writers.. Both they and the Rodial team, were super warm and friendly and it was such a pleasure to get a personal presentation of the new Rodial products.

The new collection of the launch comprised of, their new Pink Diamond Lifting Oil and Lip and Eye Filler, both Snake Jelly and Dragon’s Blood Jelly eye masks, Instant Glow and Instant Filler Primers, their glorious Peach Powder, Skin Lift Foundation, Mascara XXL and Eye shadow duo’s.

During my presentation I instantly fell in love with the Pink Diamond Oil as it gives an almost immediate effect to the skin. The Rodial Skin Lift foundation on the other hand took a little while to adjust to.. and I'll explain why...

I've been using one core line of foundations In my makeup kit for along as I can remember, so adjusting to something that was a totally different texture, finish and shade range thew me completely. During my personal presentation at the launch, the Skin Lift foundation was described as a medium coverage, dewy finish makeup however when I tried it on my skin I initially found it to be quite matte. It was until my next beauty editorial a few days after the launch that I really experienced what these products were capable of. I don’t know what magic they put in the bottle, but what amazed me about this foundation is the incredible dewy glow on the skin that especially translates through the camera lens. My model looked Radiant! To add to the pleasure of this foundation, it's also super bendable and buildable.

Its fair to say these Rodial products will now take pride and place in my kit and are already becoming firms favourites. Thank you Rodial for the event, your generosity and these amazing products.
